The Venue and Facilities

The site is a traditional organic farm in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons, only 50 minutes from the Severn Bridge and 1½ hours from Birmingham.  Brecon is 6 miles away. The nearest railway station is in Abergavenny.

The farmers, Julie and David, make us feel exceptionally welcome. You will receive directions to the camp, and information about what to bring, with your ticket. Admission to the camp is by pre-booked ticket only.

We have a fabulous cafe offering meals, snacks and drinks and a range of supplies. There'll be more info on the website nearer the time to help you plan what to bring.  Workshops take place in large marquees. We also have a heated workshop space. The well-being area provides a nurturing space, various workshops,  healing sessions and first aid.

Children and Teens

In addition to the main programme, we offer an exciting programme of activities for children and teenagers who are a very important part of the camp. Activities in 2007 included: lots of indoor and outdoor games, craft, drumming, table tennis, peg loom weaving, exploring personality types via the MBTI, story telling and flag making.

Boundaries

We ask participants to respect the ethos of the camp and have established clear boundaries to ensure the camp is an enjoyable and safe space for everyone. We require all participants to abstain from alcohol and drug use during the camp. The core group reserve the right to require people using or providing alcohol or illegal substances to leave. We are not able to have pets on site. We ask that electronic music and games are left at home and mobile phones are not used on site. Quiet time is respected between 11pm and 8am. To protect the integrity of the camp ticket holders only are allowed on site.

New to Camping?

The prospect of spending a week under canvas can be fairly daunting if you've not done it before. We are sure you will enjoy the experience and you will receive lots of support from others in your circle. There will be a cup of tea ready for you you when you arrive and the gate team will help you find a circle, introduce you to others and give you any help you need to put up your tent. We'll also have a meeting early on in the camp for new campers where you can ask any questions and we'll share tips on how to get the best out of living outdoors. Bringing really comfortable, warm bedding is one of the main ingredients of successful camping. It's also good to have a sheepskin or warm blanket to line your camping chair for those mellow evenings round the campfire. We'll send you more information and a list of what to bring with your ticket - but if you'd like a chat before you decide to book, feel free to phone Miryam on (0117) 914 9107.
